The first time I saw the trailer, I imagine this would be an awesome movie and I thought Walter Mitty would be dreaming in the whole movie.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Walter Mitty is a long-term single who worked as Manager of the Photograph Department in Life magazine, he spent his entire life keeping the negative film and enjoyed his job, no less and no more. He often imagines another story of his life that he never had, sometimes he imagines the other side of himself that he wanted. Everything is gonna be awesome in his head, never spoken or happen. He kept his mind inside. (Actually, he is liking the new girl, but he tried to communicate only wink in her profile).

Then, a new director came and screwed up, he decided to close the magazine. off course it's affected the whole company, almost all would be jobless. But they're still prepared for the last edition of Life magazine, one of their photographers mentioned his masterpiece the negative 25 for the last cover. Mitty searched it in his whole office, but never found it, and confused. He tried to call the photographer (Sean) but as a nomad person, he had an inconsistent address.

Mitty decided to ask by himself, he only had 3 clues based on the latest photograph Sean sent. So.. the journey begins...

1st photograph took him to Iceland (or Greenland), a strange place outside his dream which brought the wildest experience that he ever imagined.

2nd photograph took him into the Vulcano, he risked his life by following Sean, but ... not this time ... he is late and Sean was gone.

Frustrated Mitty came back to the U.S. and realize that half of his company are fired, so he is.
3rd photograph took him to his mother's piano, it was a big surprise Sean ever came to his house.

Then, Mitty decided to follow (again) Sean into Afganisthan for captured Ghost Cat. He passes many areas to reach that place just for meeting with Sean. After a long journey finally Mitty met Sean. Sean's answer is totally painful, negative 25 is put in Mitty's wallet which was thrown because he is angry.

Zzzzz ... zzzzz ... zzzzz ...

Is it over yet? No! Hehe ... I was surprised by the ending, so watch it !!!
This is an awesome movie, really, the biggest dream wouldn't come true if we never make it happen. And BTW this is the best performance of Ben Stiller (if I compared it with his other movie).
FYI, the movie wallpaper is nice J many people edited it with inspiring quotes.

Nowadays, traveling is one of priority needed for working (wo)man beside of shoping and socialize, even it’s became a life style. You’re cool if you can traveling. Like Air Asia slogan ‘Now Everyone Can Fly’ now everyone can traveling anywhere depend on their list and budget.

In my country, traveling is identical with money and show off, many people went traveling just for find a right place for taking a selfie (picture) then shared it to public and waiting their virtual friend give a love or comment. Many people did, so am I.

Most of young Indonesian decided for traveling in our area, considering the time (mostly 2 days on weekend) and the budget. Beside that, they’re proud having Indonesian as motherland (no matter how screwed up the government) and for supporting local destinaton. They would do that until had more budget to traveling overseas, the most favorite is Asean country such as Singapore, Malaysia or Thailand.

Since traveling is life style there are so many company rising, it could be travel agent or ticket agent or both, they also available in mobile so we could accessing everywhere. In bussiness world, marketing competition is the key of company profit and they compete tightly. Even we can seen their competition in our daily, on internet, on banner, on advertisement board or on televison, seems we are living in theirs.

So far, my favorite advertisement for these days is Traveloka,  I loved the idea how the bunge jumping woman landed on the bed, and I got the message, the easiest way of experience reservation. Whooaaa ... the first time I saw the advertisement my mind says “this is it” this is the travel agent (should do).

Today is the World Book Day and I want to share my favorite book, actually I had many favorite book as my favorite movie but however I couldnt pick them all right? So I sort 5 recommended books which was worthy to read, from local author and foreign author in all genre. Here they are ...

Harry Potter series
J. K. Rowling made me crazy and imagine about another world that seems so close with our living, I cant counting how many times I (re)read this book (all series including the additional book) and spent the day and night just for read this book until finish. This book is the most thickly book that I ever read in my teenager life (I reed Mushashi after by e-book, so itsn’t count as essentials book in physic form) and the most awaiting book of my life because I need to preorder even before they published it.

Harry Potter is a poor boy whom living with Dursley family, they threated him badly and his cousin Dudley always bullying him. He spent his life unnoticed until one day he got a mysterious envelope from Magical School named Hogwarts. After a little fighting with the Dursley, Harry start to entering the magical worlds with Hagrid.

Diagon Alley, Lumos, Quidditch, Boggart, Dobby is just a little things in magical world, there are so many (detail) things which is interesting to imagine. With his bestfriend Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger he starting his adventure in Hogwarts. Together they’re facing the (dark) hidden secret in Hogwarts and magical world also the truth of Harry’s parent death.

As usually there always an enemy in every book and his is Voldermort a.k.a you-know-who whom known as his parents murder. Beside that Harry had a cruel rival named Draco Malfoy but in the end they being (awkward) friend. Last but not least is Severus Snape the man behind whom keept Harry in his way.

I feel this book is made a big influence in my life, I became a freak reader and thristy (book) reader hehe 1 book in a day isnt enough. Also we (me and Vici my bedmate) adapt Harry and Ron habit saying “good night” before sleep and trying to made our day in dormitory awesome as in Harry Potter book.

Sometimes Harry Potter words remain in my mind ...

2nd Traveller Tale

I falling in love with this book since the first time saw the cover and the authors hehe Adhitya Mulya and Ninit Yunita yes, I adored them. I’m loving the way Adhitya Mulya represent his character (most of his book) funny, ugly but adorable, simple and to the point.

This book is about the unfinished square love (see ... triangle love is so yesterday hehe) in a frienship gank of 4 peoplesince Senior High School. Interesting, they falling in love to each other in one time by a little accident. They grown up with unrealize love that always following their life, wherever they go.

Ucup : The poor man whom always being the poor man hehe He spent his incridible live with optimism that he would survived from anything for Farah. He working in bloody war of African border.

Farah: The most beautiful girl, eh woman, in this gank. Her Jordanian blood made her became an centre attention. She is working in Hoi An Vietnamese, spent her the time by waiting Francis message.

Francis : He is a pianist, the brave one and the nicest man whom always pay attention to Retno. He is the mother of this journey. He is nomaden.

Retno : If Francis is the mother of this journey, so she is the mother of this unfinished square love. She might not beautiful as Farah, but she’s pretty on her way (Francis way). She isworking in Denmark and ready for travelling.

Everyone (not everyone, BTW only Ucup and Farah) is screwing up when Francis sent the invitation e-mail, a mariage invitation in Barcelona Spain. So they are ... passed half of the world map, raced to hold back the marriage and told the truth, a long lasting (unfinished) love. Just for 1 answer ... the answer that would be change their life.

There is 4 authors, everyone had their characther and really described the way to Barcelona based on the character working place. 2 thumbs up! And more 2 thumbs up (with my foot thumb hehe) for the story, i feel amazed!!!

After read this book I had a big desire to have a chance for traveling and wish it could be true. BTW i knew about backpacker concept by this book hehe

AntologiRasa
“The more you make me suffer the more I find I love you”
The more you read the book the more you find that Ika Natassa need to make into triology (please) because 1 book isn’t enough, I (we, actually) want more, more, more and more.

The story is about unfinish square love(again hehe) from Harris to Keara to Rully to Denise, they working together in a Bank, so be ready to get some explanation about Banker things and how they’re life. Keara branded stuff is so tempting me, really tempting me. I can’t ignore the desire of woman, love the beautifulness even it’s painfull.

Ika Natassa using 2 language in this book, Indonesian and English, so far it’s OK for using both even (actually) I (still) took more time for understand hehe After read Antologi Rasa I search another book of her (even the background story still Banker things)

BTW, should I tell about the book right? Hehe Every book is awesome if we’re loving the author first.Yap. Ika Natassa is complete package hehe She is clever, had a high taste, always sharing a good review or link by twitter (I’m her follower) and her sketch skill is a bonus. So, how can I’m not falling to her?

I enjoying Antologi Rasa as I drink fruity youghurt, it’s biting, the taste in my mouth was shocking my heart but cant stop until finish.

Sirkusdirektørensdatter/ Putri Sirkus dan Lelaki Penjual Donggeng

This is my first Jostein Gaardr tehat I read before Sophie’s World, I impressed with the way of his thinking, let’s say out of the box. His philosopher background is the main interest of the book, he mixing the imagination and a little bit of philosopy into those (not much as Sophie’s Worlds) off course it became a great result, a story of story.

With easy and simple words he let me in into his worlds, Peter worlds (for this book). A smart boy which had a big imagination and a chance to make it true. He growing up as a nice guy and his love life leads him into the great idea of literature world, Writer’s Aid. He is selling the draft or half story ideas to the other writer whom had difficulties of writing ideas, they only need to develop or decorate the story.

Until one day, he found that most of his story is published by strange writer out of his cycle, then most of his buyer is concern and complain. He escaping to ignore his buyer and accidently meet with a girl whom created by his.

The most interest part of this book is the draft story of Writer’s Aid, a story of story. You only need to read this book to know what I really feel when read this book. It’s easy to understand but hard to explain.

BTW, you would curious Jostein Gaarder other book after read this book.

Totto Chan : The Little Girl At The Window

My father gave me this book when I was on Junior High School, he told me that he read the book review on the newspaper before bought this book for me. Wishing me enjoy the high quality book.

The book is about the girl named Totto Chan a little girl whom schooling in Tomoe Gakuen, owned by Kobayashi.

My first impression is “her school is more fun than mine” hehe The method is so tempting and keep me asking “why we dont use those method in our school?” Totto Chan school is opening my mind about education concept, school is about learning and everyone had their way of learning, dont push  just let it flew away ...

Totto Chan school is amazing place for learning and would be a great school in the future, but unfortunatelly this school was bomb on 2nd world war and never build again.
This is a recommended book for education student whom want to know more about education method.

OK, that’s all for now, I hope this book list would be helpful ... See me on the next review.

We (the whole family) decided to try alternative healing (non-medic way) to help my mother, we don't want to see her frustrated because of the slow progress and hoping that way would be faster than the regular way of healing.

So, after asking other friends who have a family member or acquaintance who has tried that way (actually, they told us it's painless), we’ve got a lot of options, many options. One person said this place is good, one person said this place is so good, and one person said this place is better, most people gave advice and recommendations about a place and healer based on the fact or their experience.

After discussion, we chose my aunt's recommendation, because of... her recommendation hehe because she knew well with the owner and the place is still in the Subang area (between 45 minutes from my home).

So here we go, we went on Friday night to an unknown place, I mean I still have not seen yet the place. we used my uncle's car because we carried so much stuff for my mother. Besides that, my aunty said that the place is middle of nowhere hehe and difficult to find a food stall and Alfamart (as I said before, Alfamart is the largest franchise after Warung Nasi Padang, even you can even find it on Cihideung Peak).

After a long way...

We arrived in the middle of nowhere place, really in the middle... of a rice field. I still couldn't see around because we were focused on my mother. We moved the stuff into the room (a long room that reminds me of the dormitory) and placed the stuff randomly.

FYI, (finally, I knew it) this place is owned by Pak Engkim, he lived with his family and his assistants, the location is at Katomas village on the border of Pagaden and Binong, in front of his house there was a huge material shop, people called it “Material Panjang”. People around here know Mr. Engkim so well.

My first impression about this place was that I felt like spending the summer holiday in a Javanese village, trust me, the temperature is so hot and I wondered if they survived hehe

Let me describe this place. The house is built in the middle of a rice field and there is a small path which is connected to the house and the road. In front of the longhouse, there was a medium concrete yard, and after that, a small mosque (musholla) made of bamboo bilik (bamboo strap which is plaited by hand used for the wall or floor of Sundanesse traditional building).

On the left there is a catfish pond and the other pond (I still don't know its function), also there was a crop planted, and all building is united in one area. There is a river after the house and the railways, so we (always) can hear the sound of train bells from here, especially at night or dawn.

We stayed in the dormitory hehe, they provided a slight bed for the patient and carpets for the keeper, in other words: we slept on the floor, no bed again T.T Fortunately I prepared a sleeping bag just for myself hehe

My daily activities start with shubuh praying, then glucose checking and blood pressure checking, taking a bath for my mother and myself (and washing the clothes). After that, I inject insulin into her body 15 minutes before breakfast. I brought her outside to sunbathe, no longer than my mother eating her meals. Sometimes I challenge her to move her left body, especially her fingers and it will end up with her frustrated face :)

THE METHODS
Pak Engkim used 2 ways of healing, the 1st is by herbs and the 2nd is by massage.

HERBS
3 times a day his assistant would bind my mother's body (only for the stroke part) with their special potions, in the morning, in the afternoon, and in the night. The potion is made from smashed ginger, casava, and chili, which are blended and packaged with fabrics before attaching to my mother's body, she said that the potion is super hot. It took around 2 hours for binding time or until my mother felt so hot. The purpose is to stimulate the nerves until the deepest of skin layers.

In the morning his assistant would give my mother kuning / kunyit / kunir water (it’s made from smashed turmeric and a little bit of water which was filtered), and in the afternoon his assistant would give my mother beras kencur water (it’s made from smashed rice and kencur and a little bit of water which was filtered) sometimes they give pandan water (it’s made from smashed pandanus leaf and a little bit of water which was filtered) all depend on my mother condition. That’s all for the drink.

MASSAGE
There is one man who does the massages, he knows better the nerves and the veins in our body as a neurologist but without formal education. He would massage Pak Engkim patient once in 2 days because he worried the patient couldn't accept the pain after massage. So far he’s good but my mother hates him hehe... He always gave the pain, please... it’s his job, Mom.

I enjoyed waking up in the morning by the rays of sunrise, the rare moment of my regular day, peeking (FYI, my sleeping position is in front of the door, so I had the day in widescreen) from my sleeping bag made me feels in camping mode hehe

Maybe because nothing (serious) to do here, I can sleep early in the night and my day is no longer than sleeping, eating, washing clothes, writing a journal (yes! I had something to do), and another unproductive activity just for killing the time. I hope she’s doing well soon and has her life as before.

The worst problem is she had around 2 weeks without going to the washroom, she had a stomach problem. I gave her the calomel but still not work, I gave her 2 times and nothing happened!. So we’re moving seriously, I bought her dulcol*x (bullet shape) which using by entering from the (sorry) butt, and... success !!!

Then... the problem continued, now she had a serious stomachache, a very bad problem. She can stop at the washroom, it has been 3 days and won't stop. We must work harder because she can't move or leave her bed, so .. here I am... stuck cleaning the diapers T.T

After those difficult days, we planned to send her to their recommended doctor, dr. Iwan. He is a famous doctor here (Binong and around) and has a lot of patients during his workday, so we need to make an appointment by phone to avoid the queue, we’ve got the 110th (even) after making an appointment. Popularity is a guarantee, at least it’s my impression while looking at him checking my mother's condition, he explained well about the disease, and how to control and handle it.

The cost is average (for average people) around 6 digits (000,000) including the medicine, we like the doctor because he convinces my mother (as I said, she is stubborn and wouldn't believe until she finds the truth by herself) and made her waiting for the next appointment 10 days after.

For almost 2 weeks we have stayed here, In the beginning, she used the wheelchair, then she tried to walk by holding onto 2 men (her ex-worker and Mr. Engkim's assistant) the progress is slow but she needs to face it, it’s better than sitting on the wheelchair in the day. Cheers, Mom!!!

(re)thinking about the last month made me realize maybe this is the reason why I am still unemployed (oh please... really?) maybe this is my turn to take care of my mother, to return back around 11 years that I spent separated from her, for all the caring that she always gave to me, this is not enough... still not enough. T.T
