Since
(flower) doodling is booming last year, I’m so tempted and curious about it...
I usually see many people (or people I followed) post their doodling. Most
of them used watercolor and gouache (a.k.a cat poster).
Then,
after so many trials and errors, and used a sort of tool. I reveal that I
prefer to used markers than watercolor or gouache, the main reason is markers had a bold effect and are clean, I mean no need to prepare a brush, palette, water, etc such
as watercolor gouache.
For
every doodle, I started by using mechanic pencil for rough sketches, in light
tension. Then, I used a marker to make the line more clear. After that, I used another marker to fill the empty space of the doodle. The shape and colors depend on my imagination, sometimes I used markers directly without pencil sketches.
But, for
watercolor, it could be more difficult because I need more time for drying the
paper, also, it needs more than once for coloring. And the most important
thing before doodling is to make some item's details such as flower shapes and
colors. It would help during doodling.
